Ottawa Street BIA is made up of the businesses and people who call this corridor home, and the work we do to support and grow this community is stronger when more voices are at the table.
We are welcoming business owners and community members to join one of our four active subcommittees: Governance, Attraction and Retention, Marketing and Events, and Beautification. Whether your passion is planning events, improving the streetscape, supporting local business growth, or shaping how our organization operates, there is a place for you.
Subcommittees meet once a month and play a direct role in shaping the future of Ottawa Street.

🏛️ Governance
Oversees the organizational policies, bylaws, and operational structure of the Ottawa Street BIA, ensuring the association operates effectively and in the best interests of its members.
🤝 Attraction and Retention
Focuses on drawing new businesses to the Ottawa Street corridor while supporting existing members to thrive and remain. This subcommittee works on strategies to strengthen the business mix and long-term vitality of the area.
📣 Marketing and Events
Plans and executes the BIA’s marketing initiatives, community events, and promotional campaigns. From major events like Sew Hungry to day-to-day outreach, this subcommittee works to drive foot traffic and raise the profile of Ottawa Street.
🌸 Beautification
Works to enhance the look and feel of the Ottawa Street corridor through lighting, art installations, seasonal decorations, streetscaping, and other placemaking initiatives that reflect the area’s unique character.
